Interrupting the Chirping Crickets to Share Some Funny
Mr. Husband and I went to see comedian Tim Hawkins for our anniversary in July. (If you’ve never seen any of his videos, check out his website — just be sure to have an empty bladder first.) The show was uproariously entertaining, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate ten (ten!) years of marriage than by spending an evening laughing until your sides hurt.
We enjoyed every minute of his show, but it was this song that we kept trying to remember the lyrics to during the following week; this song that we have been waiting to see make its debut on the Internet so that we can share it with friends and family beyond repeating or half-singing (poorly) the lines that we knew and giving detailed and glowing recommendations such as, “Oh man, it was so funny…”
I can’t tell you how glad I am that this video is now up, not just on Tim’s website, but on YouTube. I’m pretty sure that anyone who suffered through our attempts to sing it is glad, too. (Click through if you want to see it bigger):
